Lakes of Asia
Lake of Asia is the lake, situated in the part of the world Asia. There are many large tectonic and residual lakes, and lakes in areas of permafrost. The biggest lake of Asia is situated on the territory of the former Soviet republics entered into the USSR.
Many lakes Asia amazing by themselves, for example lake Baikal is the largest lake in the world by volume of fresh water. In Asia a lot and tectonic lakes, which fill with water tectonic depression and faults. The most famous of these lakes is lake Baikal, its depth reaches 1620 meters – the deepest lake of the earth. Lake Baikal contains 20% of fresh water on the planet (excluding glaciers). Other known tectonic lake is the Dead sea, one of the most saline lakes on earth (salinity is 260-270%).
